3 of my sources and their genre

1) https://www.businessnewsdaily.com/5268-women-entrepreneur-challenges.html  This link is a news article about seven things women entrepreneurs have to face and overcome.  It is a informative non-fictunal article. It is also a non-academic article and I will use it to show the difference between academic and non-academic types of business papers. It will also be good information on how non-academic papers are worded or structured. 2) http://web.b.ebscohost.com.proxy.lib.uiowa.edu/bsi/pdfviewer/pdfviewer?vid=14&sid=9e545bb3-00c2-4996-b4d6-4e402c2f7ecb%40sessionmgr101 This link is a commentary on transformative marketing in the next 20 years.  This is also a non-fictunal genre.  This paper is an Academic example of how professionals in the business world write.  There is a lot of helpful information on wording in this article to use to back up my academic source for this paper. 3) http://zimmer.csufresno.edu/~sasanr/Teaching-Ma...

About Our First Writing Assignment

My first paper is about our own majors. We will interview someone who is more advanced in the field but we will also use articles and resources to understand more about the way papers our written in our majors. Many majors will use a different writing style dependent on what the point they need to get across is. This is more of an informational paper to understand the different types and styles of writing professionals are using in a certain field.  Many of my English classes were very different than this.  Our papers would either be about books we have read,  politics, or real world events.  I do believe this is a very good paper to write because it informs you on what and how you be writing in the profession you choose. Three questions about this assignment What does the goal 'Give your more information about the discipline of your interest mean'?  Where will we find the three non-academic/academic writings? Can my interviewee be my dad?

What is Rhetoric?

Rhetoric is the art of effective or persuasive speaking or writing.  In rhetoric speeches can be argumentative or speaking about something your passionate about.  I believe that in speeches and papers in rhetoric you are trying to get your point across.
